A Note From Pastor John...
| |
Hey Guys,
|
One week and counting……I can’t believe it’s almost here! This week we will take a peak at “A Christmas Carol” and discuss the ultimate meaning of life: A relationship with Christ! Invite a family to come worship with us this Sunday and on Christmas Eve. I promise they will hear a clear presentation of the gospel, and we will all be challenged to point others to Christ!
I want to make you aware of something exciting we are trying to bring to NP. We are making some changes to the food pantry ministry to benefit even more people. We are attempting to bring a benevolent food ministry to NP called Angel Food Ministries. It is a program that brings a large box of $70-80 of top quality food such as meats and frozen vegetables to people for $30. The program allows everyone to buy these boxes of food, and they also take EBT (food stamps). I will personally be buying a box each month that will save me about $50 on our grocery bill. The food would be delivered to the church one Saturday each month. Check them out yourself at www.angelfoodministries.com
If you want to try it yourself in January, there are several churches in Columbia that currently have the ministry in place. We’d be glad to help you locate one. It will probably be March before we can make this transition and have food delivered to NP. I believe we will be able to help everyone, including people that are very needy. Keep your ear open for more information on how this ministry can benefit your family and our community. Pray with us as we transition to the next phase of ministry at NP!
All Out,
John Sharp
