OUTDOOR ADVENTURE AND FITNESS GROUP OUTING Activity: Hiking/walking or Mountain biking DATE: Saturday, November 10th TIME: 2:00 PM LOCATION: Sesquicentennial State Park 9564 Two Notch Road Interested in hiking/fitness walking or mountain biking? Come get in shape with fellow outdoor enthusiasts! All fitness levels welcome. Meet at the park retreat center main parking lot with your mountain bike or hiking/walking shoes! Park entrance fee is $2 per adult (children 15 or younger are free), unless you have a state park pass. The park has 1.9 mile and 3.5 mile hiking trails and a 6.1 mile biking trail. Here is how that is going to play out over the next 6 months: GIVE - Bring food for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We will also do an Angel Tree (small gifts) for each family. SERVE - We want to spend time to find practical ways we can help the family, whether it be providing a car ride, mowing a lawn, or cleaning a house. SHARE - Our ultimate goal is to make an eternal impact on each family. We want each team to be in prayer for their family with the goal that they will accept an invitation to NP on Easter Sunday 2008. We have at least five (5) different positions available for those wanting to volunteer for this project: · Parent - leads the team assigned to one Adopted Family · Giver - donates money to meet food/gift needs for the family · Shopper - uses donated money to purchase food/gifts for the family · Driver - helps deliver food/gifts to the family · Team Leader - helps organize all Adopted Families Please contact the church office for more information about this exciting opportunity.
